In this powerful night of community and compassion, Dr. Darlene Sparks Washington, Executive Director of Portsmouth Volunteers for the Homeless, shares a deeply personal story of loss and resilience and reminds us that “nobody is disposable.” You’ll also hear voices from community partners and supporters who explain why service matters, why lived experience matters, and why action matters, especially for neighbors who can’t “just go home and turn on the heat.”
