Zero-pressure accumulation conveying (ZPA) of a few to many zones in applications with or without PLC, but without fieldbus:
The ZoneControl is a single-zone control for a RollerDrive EC310 and a zone sensor. It can be used to create stand-alone, zero-pressure accumulation conveyors which require no higher-level control (PLC).

Additional functions and communication to upstream and downstream conveyors can be implemented via digital inputs and outputs (I/Os). The ZPA logic is contained in the ZoneControl and does not have to be programmed within a PLC.

ZoneControl installation:

- RollerDrive and sensors are directly connected to the ZoneControl. No adapter cable is needed
- For an easy handshake to the upstream system, an additional start sensor in the first zone can be connected
- The conveyor runs in zero pressure accumulation mode after switching on the power. No addressing or PLC is needed.

ZoneControl operation:

- For safe operation, goods between sensors will be moved to the next sensor
- The ZoneControl starts zero-pressure accumulation conveying after five seconds of initialization phase
- Zero pressure accumulation is possible in single and train release
- Goods stop automatically in the last zone of the conveyor
