Come along with me today in rural Pennsylvania as we make a Traditional Pennsylvania Dutch Stuffed Pig Stomach Recipe (Hog Maw Dinner) – the way our families used to enjoy it years ago.
We start outside, then head into the garage kitchen where my wife and I put this old PA Dutch hog maw recipe together from start to finish. I’ll show you all the ingredients, the vegetables, the meat, and of course the cleaned pig stomach itself.
In this video you’ll see:

– Prepping and chopping the potatoes, onions, and meat

– Mixing everything together in a big bowl for the stuffing

– A brief look at the pig stomach and how we clean it (nothing graphic)

– My wife joining me to help stuff and sew the stomach

– Setting the oven to 350° and getting it ready to bake

– Taking it out after the first hour and a half and uncovering it to finish baking

– Slicing the cooked stuffed pig stomach to reveal the filling

– A taste test at the end… plus a few fun bloopers from our garage kitchen
