I have noticed the power level of standard, and all formats in general, have increased exponentially in the last five years. Format all stars like baneslayer, formerly a highly contentious card, now see little to no play in standard. Has the power level gone too high? Will they push back as more and more cards get banned? Will we see a decrease in power level right in time for a return to Kamigawa?
