This time I changed it up and feel as if I found a sound I am comfortable 100% with and versatile on my new single “What I Want” I felt I tapped into a different New part of my life where I only care to keep it as real as possible.. The homie Mr.Jo$hua made an awesome beat that I in turn elevated with my unique style of composing a song and flow. It’s simple you can either do what you want or do what you can , it’s all a choice
This time I didn’t care to have a lot going on in the video my wife and Daughter got their cameo by accident lol but I love that they were in it because it showed a side of me through a hip hop artist stand point that I have never done before. That was my real wife and real daughter, nothing rented or not mine.
I’m not down playing that at all My point is I haven’t always been the most secure in who I was and what I was doing which leads anyone to copy what they see an go against their natural self to appease others or receive surface level validation. Any other time I would have tried to get a lot of weed/money/fly clothes and a bad bitch with hella homies doing what they do.
But all of those things in one way or another have left me alone and depressed.
And im sure plenty of others can relate to that,so why put myself though that to make a “HOT” video/song? Nahh I wanted something different this time lying and finessing/capping in any form wasn’t going to be apart of it.
I wanted you the viewers to see past the “rap” gimmick but more of I’m a normal dude I don’t look or feel above anyone. I’m a full time stay at home dad and husband my business doesn’t stretch much further out than that.
So I wasn’t going to portray any much more than that
