As part of this week's Dessert series, I visited the Bombay Sweet shop (@bombaysweetshop) store at Turner Road, Bandra.
I have always loved the innovation and creativity they show in their recipes! They always give their unique touch to classic mithais which just rejuvenates the dish.

Led by @nayakgirish, they have quickly become my favourite sweet shop in Mumbai.
Things I tried on this visit,

Matcha Thandai - The Thandi taste was on point! The crunch from the dry fruits and the taste of spices like elaichi, just perfect! Matcha taste was a little subtle for me but that's personal preference on how strong the person prefers it.

Gulab Jamun Churros - Words are not enough to describe this dish. It retains the softness on the inside while being crispy on the outside. The Vanilla cream pairs so perfectly with this churro. The sea salt on the outside was just a surprise out of nowhere and it was the thing that elevated this dish to another level. That sweet salty taste with the vanilla cream is a burst of emotion and happiness! I am a lover of Gulab jamun and this unique take on it is something I welcome with open hands!!

These churros were second to only one dish - The Gulab Nut❤️ from The Bombay Canteen. @yashwecan Make it permanent please!!! 🥲

Other suggestions for you to try on your visit to Bombay Sweet Shop are
1. Avo Papdi Chaat
2. Vero's Chili Cheese Toast
3. Coffee Rasgulla Tiramisu (Don't even think before ordering.. it's just AMAZING)

Don't forget to try out their other offerings which they have available for tasting like their Chivdas, Barks and most importantly - THEIR MITHAIS 🍫
