Shane: Hey, guys. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today, I'm going to walk through how to install the Pro Series A-Frame Jack. This is a bolt-on or weld-on jack. It's going to have a 2,000 pound weight capacity or lifting capacity with a total of 14 inch lift. The lower tube is going to be two inch in diameter.
It's not going to come with a footplate, however, you can find a foot plate, wheel, or adapters here at etrailer. They're just pin-on. Pin and clip. So, they're easily removable. You'll notice that our round tube, here, is going to have a channel.
That's to keep this inside tube from spinning. You'll notice that everything's going to have a nice black powder coat finish. It's going to stay looking nice for a really long time. It's going to be a front wind, free spinning handle. You'll notice it's tapered, so it'll give you something easy to grip on to. Our crank mechanism is going to be located here, on the top, so it's easily accessible if we need to add any grease later on or anything like that.
It makes it very easy to lower and lift your trailer. Keep in mind, 2,000 pound lifting capacity. This is going to be designed for smaller trailers, like we have here today. From center to center on our hole, or mounting location, is going to be three inches. Keep in mind, hardware does not come with this jack.
As far as the installation process, it's pretty simple if you're bolting it on. You're going to bolt it directly to the factory mounting holes. If it's welded on and you don't know how to weld, obviously, you're going to have to have somebody weld it on for you. Other than that, in my professional opinion, I think this jack is going to work out great for this small of a trailer. 2,000 pounds, I think, is more than enough to handle anything that this trailer can put on it. That being said, let's go ahead and walk you through how to get it installed. To start our installation, we need to remove our old jack. You want to make sure you jack up the frame with a jack stand. So, when you remove this, something's holding onto it. We're going to use a 15 millimeter socket for these. We're going to have to remove the foot plate, if you have one on there. I'm going to go ahead and put new hardware on. I'm going to put a flat inaudible 00:02:28 with the new bolt. Now, the hardware does not come with this jack. But you can find it pretty much anywhere. You just want to make sure you match it up to the size holes that you have. Make sure the threads are the same. Once we get our jack tightened down, we can install our new handle. 15 millimeter socket for the weld head side. 17 millimeter for the nut side.Once you have your jack installed . Keep in mind, it's not going to come with a foot plate. But there are different options. You have a flat plate, like this. You also have a wheel. You can find each one of these here, at etrailer.com. You'll notice that they just have a pin on them. They simply pin right up to the bottom of the tube. The plate's going to pin on the same way. The wheel's going to allow us to push our trailer around without having a vehicle. Maybe we want to push it around on some flat ground in our garage or something like that, where a flat plate is just going to keep the bottom open tube from digging in the ground. It gives us a nice solid foundation for the tongue of our trailer.Once you've decided on the foot plate you want, you got everything tightened down, you're ready to go. That's going to do it for a look at and installation on the Pro Series 2,000 pound A-Frame Jack.
