i love my cursed-soulmatism-shadowman aesthetic.

this vid is based off the novel "the invisible life of addie larue" by v.e schawb. essentially, a french peasant girl in 1714 makes a deal with "the darkness" to escape her life for a price: her soul. what she doesn't count on is being cursed to live forever, only for no one to remember her. and that same shadowman? very persistent that she surrender her soul at last. whatever it takes.

honestly, this book was so-so for me but i adore any juicy trope like the above. plus, at this point, i pretty much collect shadowmen. so finally, after reading this in october, i was able to finally vid something.
