We recently sat down with buzzing Jacksonville artist Tayshotzz for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about the hate in Jacksonville, playing basketball growing up, jumping off the porch when he was 14, getting kicked out of high school, losing to friends to violence & prison, knowing Yungeen Ace since middle school, being friends with Ksoo since 9th grade, dropping his first song in 2019, growing up listening to Chicago drill music, starting to take music seriously at the end of 2022, his growth as an artist from when he first started, reveals his creative process, his thoughts on the music scene in Jacksonville right now, rappers’ lyrics being used in court, ”Die For This” video w/ Yungeen Ace & Backstreet TK blowing up, “Waddup Remix” w/ Jdot Breezy, his new music video “No Hospital”, his debut EP ‘No Hearts Given’, explains why “I Miss You Letter” is one of his favorite songs, working with GetRichZay on “Warning”, explains how he deals with online trolls, wanting to drop another project in March, goals, shares advice for the youth, and much more!
