Soprano Choir Practice: "For unto us a Child is born" , by George Frideric Handel, is from the first part of Handel’s Messiah (HWV 56). Part One concerns itself with the prophecy of the coming of the Messiah with the focus on the meaning of Advent and Christmas. His birth is announced, in Old Testament scripture "For unto us a Child is born".
