We are learning more and more details about the exciting 2021 RAV4 Prime. Toyota recently surprised many of us by revealing some specifications that are better than originally announced. The gas mileage is greater, acceleration is faster, and travel distance is longer.

We originally thought the 0-60 time would be 5.8 seconds, but it is now 5.7 seconds. The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime mpg is now rated at 94 MPGe instead of 90 MPGe. Plus, drivers can now travel 42 miles on one single electric charge. This number was first projected at 39 miles.

When new models are created from current models, we expect an overlap of certain features and characteristics.

Take vehicle color choices. For example, Camry Hybrid offers owners the same color options as Camry gasoline versions. This applies to RAV4 Hybrid compared to RAV4 gas trim levels as well.

So where does Toyota RAV4 Prime fit into this?

Expect to choose from 7 different colors when picking out your ideal 2021 RAV4 Prime. These will be divided between SE and XSE sport trims.

For those interested in RAV4 Prime SE, you will have the most colors available. Super White, Midnight Black Metallic, Silver Sky Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Blueprint, and Supersonic Red.

Choose from Blizzard Pearl / Black Roof, Silver Sky / Black Roof, Blueprint / Black Roof, Supersonic Red / Black Roof, and Magnetic Gray Metallic / Black Roof.

Midnight Black Metallic is not offered in XSE. I suspect the logic is the two-tone look would not be as dramatic as other options with a black on black combination.

As I do my 2021 RAV4 Prime review of highlights and features, I get more excited as we await its official retail release. 302 horsepower. Better gas mileage than just about any other Toyota ever made. I cannot wait. Many people cannot wait. The demand for RAV4 Prime is going to be insane.

With RAV4 Prime price philosophy recently announced as well, buyers will have a tough choice on their hands. RAV4 Prime SE price starts at $38,100 and RAV4 Prime XSE price is $41,425. These prices do not include shipping / delivery to dealerships across the country.
