My 3 friends and I embarked on the motorbike journeys for researching and studying ancient temples, several sites in Chi Kraeng district, Siem Reap province, Cambodia.
The distance from Siem Reap city to the ancient temple, is approximately 60 km and takes time around 1 hour via National Road 6 and then travel through local farms by motorbike.
We create the click videos of the ancient temples and ancient sites to share with you, even though there is not a specific time yet to visit that place.
• The name of temple is described likely by local villagers. Neang Meas temple, Neang means Woman, Lady or Princess and Meas means Golden, so it translates literally to Khmer language. Golden Princess temple or Golden Lady temple.
Statues Found On-Site: Temple is renamed by local villagers after the discovery of a specific golden statue. It is possible a female deity statue once resided there, leading to the name. The golden statue and the original name of the temple lost to time.
