The beauty of the traditional catholic wedding mass

Описание к видео The beauty of the traditional catholic wedding mass

In the recent past, I had the opportunity to attend a traditional catholic wedding mass in Normandy (France).
I was struck by the beauty of this ceremony: the ancient church, the traditional liturgy and the Gregorian, renaissance and baroque polyphonic chants. I was immerged in another century. This rich roman catholic ritual that has survived centuries, reflected the Glory of God and moves the soul.
These thirty minutes of film condense a two hours long ceremony.
We can note that within the traditional catholic wedding, the marriage takes place first and is then followed by the Thanksgiving Mass. You will see:

Entrance of the future groom and bride : 01:13
Veni Creator 04:12
Exchange of vows 05:17
Thanksgiving Mass 08:48
Kyrie 11:42
Gloria 12:56
Alleluia 13:38
Offertory 15:12
Sanctus 19:37
Benedictus 21:13
Agnus Dei 22:09
Communion 24:01
Blessing of the spouses 25:37
Consecration of the newly weds to the Virgin Mary 26:29
Signing of the registers 31:41
Sortie « coming out » of the church 34:30

The songs and music you will hear were performed & recorded live on the wedding day.

Fortunately, there are still traditional roman catholic priests and families who maintain their faith through this liturgy. I knew that France was considered as “the eldest daughter of the Church”; through this experience I am certain of it.
I thought that this humble amateur video could help promote our catholic faith. This video is online with the authorisation of the newlyweds.
