The following interview reveals an incredible testimony of Christ-follower Chief Joseph Riverwind from Firekeepers International. While singing an Ancient Native American song in Jerusalem, local Jewish leaders and scholars overheard the song and understood the lyrics, claiming they had a high overlap with ancient Hebrew. How could something like this happen? How could Native Americans and Hebrews—being separated by at least 4,000 years since the Babel dispersion—have such similarities in their languages? While we know that God “confused” the languages of the 70+ people groups who were dispersed at Babel, could some of the groups carry languages for thousands of years that were similar at their core? Or could they have shared the same language before part of one group split off and came to North America? There is certainly no Mormon connection being made here (we do not agree—at all—with the Book of Mormon). We find this incident supports the recent Creation, Flood, and Babel dispersion account recorded in Scripture!
