https://www.diy-technician.com/produc... I blew the dust off this older ENCO brand metal cutting bandsaw and got it fired back up into a working saw. It came without the sawblade installed so I go through the process of doing just that in the video. I cut a section of rebar as an example. I was pleasantly surprised that this old saw even worked but even more so as to how good it did work. After the video I did end up applying a lot of grease and oil to the fittings that move in order to keep them in good working order but also to keep the noise level down. I believe this thing was originally purchased at Harbor Freight but not 100% for sure.

Here's the video transcripts:
hey guys got this old metal cutting saw that uh buddy of mine gave me for free I'm gonna try to get it running here's the brand on there this is an enco metal cutting band saw there's the info on it no blade on it I did plug it in already just to see if the motor ran and it went so I've got a blade for it got a couple blades for it and I'm gonna go ahead and see if I can get this installed well first thing I'm going to do here is just lift this up on that then a blade I believe goes up and around here so here's the plate come off. Let's go see if that blade will fit around there. That Blade's gonna sit with the with the teeth out please right up and around there and then it's got a it's got to go down through this and then go through there

foreign

s but I got got that off of there

okay I got it to go around this lower one

blade

I feel like I need to tension it

let's see if it takes it oh yeah it straightens that thing out a little bit

so I got it pretty tight I got it cranked down bring kind of prank uh crank down pretty tight all right so actually now I'm gonna put this other one on there

the mallet

there we go [Music] okay

so cut let's be able to put the metal piece right down there and just do like that all right hold on to your [Music]

[Music]

seats

I got a little chunk of rebar it's a good scrap piece to try to kill lock it in there for Dem purposes here but here's the here's the hand cranker and that pulls those jaws tight

let me get it nice and tight there we go now that won't move and let's go ahead and turn it on

can you kill it

so the only thing a couple things I need to put some grease on there go ahead and loosen that up but there's a

that cut like very happy with this old saw

and then these adjust with with these knobs here depending you know it's best to leave a smaller Gap there as possible so if I was cutting some more a whole bunch of rebar I would I would shorten this Gap a little bit and then uh yeah but for my purposes freaking awesome all right thanks for watching you guys and I hope this helps you out you find an old saw like this grab it all right thanks for watching
