We like to share this short introduction of what Letterewe Estate has to offer. Have a look at Letterewe lodge, Ardlair lodge and Carnmore lodge, our 3 wonderful lodges in the wilderness of Scotland. It is a family owned estate with a rich history. Letterewe has been protected from insensitive development and has no surfaced roads. Its remote location, on the north side of loch Maree, is a paradise for fishermen, hill walkers, painters, photographers and climbers.

Our lodges offer access to different areas of one of the most untouched landscapes in Scotland. Letterewe Lodge, turreted, whitewashed mansion with a five-star ambience, has to be reached by boat across Loch Maree. Ardlair, along an estate track with beautiful views, is a relaxing Highland home built to frame its remarkable views. Carnmore, one of Britain’s remotest houses, offers simple but delightful accommodation, in sharp contrast to its remote location.

Letterewe is a traditional Highland estate, completely off the beaten track, where – according to map surveys – it is possible to get further from ‘civilisation’ than anywhere else on the UK mainland.

Our three lodges offer something for everyone – the Highland shooting lodge luxury and refinement of Letterewe Lodge, with its exceptional kitchen and living areas, the picturesque woodland and loch setting of family-friendly Ardlair, and a true ‘back to nature’ escape at far-flung, lamp-lit Carnmore.
