We start the day with a visit to the Te Puia Geothermal Park and then make our way to the Kohutapu Lodge for our over night stay. On the way we meet up with our Mauri guide Kelly and visit the rock carvings done by the ancient Mauri Peoples when they first came to this area. We play some games with the proprietor of the Kohutapu Lodge and watch as the Hangi Pit is loaded with food and then sealed for the cooking.
