January 13, 2012 was a cloudless sunny day.
It has been months since the last time I went up to the Marin Headlands to view San Francisco from up there.
The winding road up that had been temporarily closed to fix the landslide somewhere near the tunnel, has been well maintained. New park benches have been built on each vista point --- kudos to all involved in these efforts.

The Marin Headlands is a hilly peninsula at the southernmost end of Marin County, California, USA, located just north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge, which connects the two counties and peninsulas. The entire area is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The Headlands are famous for their stunning views of the Bay Area, especially of the Golden Gate Bridge.

While San Francisco and vicinity have many beautiful spots, there are two places that I rank to be among the top of "must-go" public spots, namely:
(1) The Marin Headlands (Conzelman Road)

Note: San Francisco is cold all year round even at the height of summer. Hence, always have a jacket readily available.

"the joy of solitude" - means being able to take some videos and photographs of nature's beauty, by myself..... :)
