Bunga Bunga Covent Garden - Ifour Case study

Bunga Bunga is quickly gaining the reputation it deserves in London as a great place to eat, drink and be entertained. The impressive interior includes a VIP seating area in an Italian river launch with speedboat, the entrance to the VIP area is based around a scene from a famous mob movie, with guests passing through a meat chiller before being guided to their table.

Lee Swiffen, Director at iFour commented on the key challenges and considerations while delivering the scheme: "The project had to be completed in two stages, with the first phase being the completion and opening of Bungatini, the ground floor pizzeria and bar. The program for this area was to be completed in a very short time scale and included a bespoke front of house bar and delicatessen, a wood burning pizza oven and an open kitchen along with preparation and storage areas.

We were also tasked with elements of the basement build which included the back of house kitchen, preparation area, dish and glass washing facilities, as well as the majority of the storage areas including a walk in cold room. All of which had to be completed while the major part of the build in the basement areas were ongoing."

I’m particularly pleased with the built-in wood burning pizza oven and the delicatessen which is on show from outside and main entrance, the ground floor pizzeria and bar are a real focal point for customers to take in. Downstairs at Bunga Bunga is where the fun started! We included a bespoke main bar counter which was designed to perfection. The cocktail and dispense bars are stunning and the pizza service area and pass counters complete the project theme to the finest detail."
