On September 14, 2025, Markham City Councillor Isa Lee delivered remarks on the launch ceremony for the 12th round of funded Projects and workshop
under the Volunteer Project Support Center for Under-Served Youth, hosted by Canada-China Federation of Entrepreneurs (CCFOE).

This impactful program empowers Indigenous and underserved youth across Canada to take part in meaningful volunteerism and community-building. With access to micro-grants of up to $5,000, participants aged 15 to 30 can design and lead innovative projects around themes such as:

🧡 Reconciliation
🌍 Environmental Sustainability
🤝 Inclusivity
🗳️ Civic Engagement
💪 Youth Resilience
🎯 Youth-Identified Issues

Through interactive workshops, mentorship, and peer-sharing, youth gain valuable experience in leadership, planning, and budgeting—while receiving a Certificate of Recognition signed by The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families, and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario, upon project completion.
