Canto VIII of Inferno ends at the fiery gates of the City of Dis. After crossing the swamp of Styx and leaving Filippo Argenti to be torn apart by the wrathful, Dante and Virgil see red towers glowing like iron straight from the furnace. Thousands of fallen spirits guard the walls and forbid the living pilgrim to enter, slamming the iron doors in Virgil’s face.

“The Red Towers of Dis” turns this scene into a dark cinematic rock anthem. A powerful female voice sings about the wrathful swamp, the iron city, the arrogance of demons and the hidden hope that a heavenly messenger will break the gate.

Heavy guitars, orchestral layers and choirs create a gothic vision of fate, justice and fear at the edge of the lower Hell.
