With a bit of a break in the rain I decided to head to the western end of the Cobourg VIA station to catch CN M306 as it rounded the curve. It was led by CN 2846, a gevo. The second unit was one I hadn't seen in a while. it was GECX 2040, GE's Tier 4 Demonstrator Unit, facing rearwards toward a short 75-car mixed freight consist.

After this train passes, you'll find a bonus clip that was taken from my ride on VIA 64 as we left Oshawa earlier in the afternoon. There was a GP9RM - GP38-2 pairing sitting at the eastern end of the yard that I wanted to share. I thought the string of empty wells on the track next to the VIA train made for an interesting foreground for this brief catch.
