At this years Peterborough Land Rover Show we caught up with Harry and his stealthy looking OM606 converted 90!

2012 land Rover defender 90 in Santorini black.

No bells or whistles (aircon, electric windows central locking etc) ex-farm truck with 35k miles.
Full strip down, full internal/external cage, body kit, full respray, on 33 inch Cooper LTZ, LED lights all round, landy glass panoramic windows.

Had its first puma engine failure at 55k miles (oil pump failure) second engine failure at 56k miles (injector misfire/cracked piston) 3rd engine OM606 3.0 straight 6 turbo diesel coupled to Land Rover 6 speed box using an Ollie North adapter plate.

Using k2 engine mounts, stainless waterpipe and alternator relocation. Fuel pump is ecu controlled from a DSL1 controller running the Mercedes wiring loom. THIS HAS SINCE BEEN UPDATED TO A MECHANICAL 7.7mm PUMP FROM DIESELPUMPUK(DPUK).

Smaller water pump pulley from DPUK and rear block cooling mod from K2, using puma rad and Alive ultimate intercooler with an electric fan cooling that.

Custom exhaust manifold from PT Racing.

Quick spool valve from DPUK feeding a Holset HX35 with a smaller 11cm housing.

Engine had done 170,000 miles before conversion so cleaned up before swap and rocker cover painted using Buzzweld 2k on traffic red.

For axle clearance, swapped on an e320cdi (om648) rear drop sump and oil pump.

Exhaust pipe is 3 inch straight through to side exit behind passenger door with partial heat wrapping.

Transfer box has been mounted on a discovery cross member to allow relocating back.

All custom pipework for coolant and boost pipes

Comfortable sports seats, removable Momo wheel, double din stereo conversion, leather dash tops and grab handle, Syncro Gearboxes short shift kit and leather cubby box.
