Hero Motocorp has brought the most amazing commuter bike for the people of India. The name of the bike is Hero Motocorp Splendor iSmart. Price of the bike is 56154 Indian rupee ex-showroom Delhi.
Hero has used an air-cooled, 4-stroke, mono-cylinder, OHC engine with a displacement of 97.2cc to run this bike. This is the same engine, which we have seen in Splendor's other models as well. The mill is paired with the 4-speed manual transmission with the multi-plate wet type clutch. The engine is tuned to churn out the maximum power of 7.69BHP at an acceleration point of 7500rpm with the peak torque of 8.04Nm at an acceleration mark of 4500rpm. The top speed of the engine would be easily above 80kmph as it easily turns 60kmph on the city road. The mill incorporates the i3S technology, which is there to make its performance better. This system shuts down the ignition after a period of 30 seconds when stood still, and automatically starts it when accelerated. The rider can turn the technology on and off with the blue colored switch available near the accelerator. The engine has self start as well as kick start option.
The overall dimensions of this machine are 1965mm length, 720mm width and 1095mm height. The seat height for the rider is organized at 785mm while the wheelbase and the minimum ground clearance is 1235mm and 160mm, respectively.
Black colored five-spoke alloy wheels are equipped to the bike for durability and style. The analog instrumentation of the bike is displaying speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer and trip-meter. There are also some new indicators like side-stand indicator, i3S badge, Neutral, etc. Its unique, stop-start system can be used by the rider with the i3S toggle switch appearing on the right side of the handlebars. The standard fitments given to the bike are kick and electric start and engine guard.
