Maharashtra Cabinet Portfolio: Devendra Fadnavis Retains Home, Eknath Shinde Assigned 3 Ministries
Maharashtra's cabinet portfolios were announced on Saturday, following the swearing-in of the new government earlier this month. CM Devendra Fadnavis retains key ministries, including Home, Energy, Law, General Administration, and Information & Publicity. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has been assigned Finance, Planning, and State Excise, marking a crucial power move within the coalition. Eknath Shinde, also a Deputy CM, will handle Urban Development, Housing, and Public Works ministries. Other key leaders include Uday Samant, who gets Industries, Pankaja Munde heading Environment, and Manikrao Kokate overseeing Agriculture. Dhananjay Munde will take charge of Food & Civil Supplies, Ashok Uike will lead Tribal Development, and Ashish Shelar will manage IT & Culture. Aditi Tatkare, Jaykumar Gore, and Sanjay Shirsat will handle Women and Child Development, Rural Development, and Social Justice, respectively.
