Old Vietnamese Shophouse Demo (20.05.2020)

This short demo is inspired by our latest Sketching Playing Lab session entitled "Free Your Lines".

We were discussing and playing with the concepts of CONTROL & FREEDOM in our sketching. I personally believe in finding balance so that our art stays fresh, spontaneous and yet intentional. Control is needed when we need to be precise, accurate and for clarity. But we know too much control can kill the freedom in our art marking. To me freedom is spontaneity , fluidity, playfulness and open to adventures. Happy accidents are welcome too!

I sketched this in my self made accordion sketchbook using Fabriano Artistico Hot press paper. Watercolours from Daniel Smith and brushes from Rosemary and DaVinci.
