Annalaura di Luggo is a multimedia artist and documentary director and producer based in Naples, Italy. She developed the documentary We Are Art: Through the Eyes of Annalaura (www.weareart.info) which is a combination of reportage-style (by interviewing dozens of young adults with challenging lives) and an innovative video art style by experimenting for her multimedia installation “Colloculi” the most advanced real-time interactive technologies. The documentary is an inspirational story of creativity, second chances and new beginnings.
It is an audiovisual journey enhancing diversity that uses the languages of visual arts and sound design, and it offers a portrait of four young adults who shared their personal accounts of overcoming adversities such as bullying, racial discrimination, blindness, alcohol and drug abuse, sexual discrimination and crime, finding a spiritual path out of the darkness into the light and reclaiming their self-esteem.
Annalaura focuses on their eyes that become a symbol of identity and equality to demonstrate that every human is special, and WE ALL ARE ART.

The original song “We Are Art” came up during the shooting of her documentary We Are Art Through the Eyes of Annalaura that she directed and produced.

Annalaura created the words matching the melody with a precise intent to give an uplifting message of social inclusion and affirmation of the value of human beings and life. The lyrics lead to search our inner strength in God and to be always positive.


The song is about enhancing diversity and displays the lives of four young people who found a spiritual path out of the darkness into the light and reclaimed their self-esteem.
Annalaura focuses on their eyes that become a symbol of identity and equality to demonstrate that every human is special, and WE ARE ART.
The arrangement for We ARE ART was produced with traditional musical instruments and was augmented with use of the sounds and the heartbeats we recorded of the four young adult protagonists in the multimedia artwork and blended with the crinkling sound of the aluminum that was used to create the installation thus making the song almost one with the DNA of the concept of the film and with the artwork Colloculi.

Annalaura decided to include minorities in her film and this is the reason why also in the Chorus there are 2 singers of which one is blind - Francesca Catalano - and one visually impaired – Pasquale Riccio
