Описание к видео An interview with '80's pop sensation NIK KERSHAW - from Bristol to Stardom.

Nik Kershaw was a successful solo artist in the UK pop scene in the 1980s, with global hit singles like ‘Wouldn't it Be Good' and 'I Won't Let the Sun Go Down on Me'. He later focused on writing and producing, collaborating with Elton John, Sia, Gary Barlow, and Bonnie Tyler. His ninth studio album, Oxymoron, was recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the help of Audio Network. The album features his distinctive voice and personal lyrics, with a mix of soaring melodies, articulate wordplay, and thoughtful lyricism. He credits the best studios, engineers, musicians, and sense of collaboration for making the record sound like it came from the same place. Nik has been working with Audio Network for some years and was encouraged by the global music company's CEO, Andrew Sunnucks, to work with them on his first release since 2012. His latest album, Songs From The Shelf, Part 1, was released in May 2022, with Part 2 in Spring 2023. Nik admits that some of his songs are cathartic but never conscious, and often only find out what they are about retrospectively through talking to people about them. He also regularly plays festivals and performs live to his loyal fanbase.
