In a recent shocking incident that happened to occur in Punjabi University, Patiala a professor accused of being harassed a female student to death, got slapped and injured during clash.

As per sources , A professor from Punjabi Department of Punjabi University Patiala named Surjit was accused of torturing a girl so much that she died today which resulted into a massive protest outside the VC office on campus.

Protesting students claimed that the girl was unwell for a long time and that she was pressurised and mentally harassed by the professor to attend classes due to which her health deteriorated even more. Students even claimed that the professor had been misbehaving with the female students in the past as well .

Later a major clash happened as protest turned into aggression when students gherao the professor on campus and asked him questions during which a female student slapped the professor and the environment got heated to an extent that the professor was injured and taken to the hospital. He got serious injuries in his head.

The students who were protesting were arrested by Punjab Police.

Currently the authorities are looking into the matter and the investigation is on.
