Solo Overnight Winter Camp in a Beaver Forest!

Hi everyone, welcome to my brand new YouTube channel!

I've spent a lot of time in the great outdoors, both as a child who grew up in a rural Ontario village, and as an adult working a 100-acre hobby farm and who loves to adventure outdoors, but this is my first time sharing one of my outings on video. I hope you all enjoy it and stick around for more as I improve my craft!

This "solo" overnight winter backcountry camping trip was a ton of fun! I say "solo" because I had my puppy, Jasper, with me, and we also had the company of a family of beavers! These beavers were busy all day in the waters surrounding our campsite, and we spotted signs of their activity all over the forest!

I've done a few winter backcountry camping trips in various temperatures and settings, but this was my first solo experience, and also my first with Jasper. Great news: it won't be my last!

I was inspired to start sharing my adventures while watching YouTube during the pandemic, folks like Joe Robinet Bushcraft (‪@josephallen19‬), Lost Lakes (‪@LostLakes‬), brothers Jim Baird (‪@JimBairdAdventurer‬) and Ted Baird (‪@TheRealTedBaird‬), Northern Scavenger (‪@NorthernScavenger‬), The Wooded Beardsman (‪@TheWoodedBeardsman‬), and others. The goal of my channel is to bring you on a variety of adventures, from canoeing & kayaking, camping & hiking, to bushcraft and the backcountry. I'd also like to include something special in my future episodes, something that I believe is somewhat unique and unavailable in other YouTubers' videos -- stay tuned as I'll introduce this feature soon.
