One Life to Live 1/9/1989

At the hospital, Viki wakes up to find Arthur about to inject her with something; he covers her mouth as she tries to scream and fight him off. Christine arrives in time to stop him, and Arthur is apprehended by hospital security. Christine later confesses that the man pulling the strings in the entire affair is Michael Grande. At Llanfair, Gabrielle gets Tina to fill her in on the details of Viki’s ordeal. Tina tells her everything she knows, including Viki’s vision about her teenage self and her mystery lover. Gabrielle also realizes that there may be more clues to the location of Eterna hidden in Llanfair.

When word reaches WVLE that Viki has been attacked at the hospital, Roger makes an excuse to leave and rushes over there to check on her. Randy bribes a stagehand to air an “apology video” he made for Megan during the live interview. In the interview Megan tells her side of the story. Randy counters by cueing up the videotape, which turns out to be the porn film Randy has been regularly blackmailing MEgan with. After lunch with his wife, Michael is approached by a police officer, who asks him to come down to the station to answer some questions. At the police station, Rafe interviews Christine and then Michael, who weaves an elaborate lie and denies any involvement in the scheme against Viki. The police bring in Arthur who denies having ever met Michael. At Llanview Hospital, She thanks him for saving her life, and he returns the Eterna pin he found clasped in her palm the night before. Viki recounts how she came into possession of the pin, and when she describes the uniform the masked man was wearing, she notices a twinge of recognition on Roger’s face. She begs him to share what he knows.
