LIVE: Israel Intensifies Attacks In Lebanon As Netanyahu Threatens Iran | Vantage With Palki Sharma

West Asia is on the boil as tensions are escalating between arch rivals Israel and Iran. After Iran launched more than 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on October 1, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to retaliate. Tuesday night saw alarms sounding across Israel, with explosions heard in Jerusalem and the Jordan River Valley.

While no injuries were reported in Israel, a man was killed in the occupied West Bank, according to authorities. The missile barrage was reportedly a response to Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon targeting Hezbollah. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Israel would face a harsh reaction if it did not stop what he called "its crimes".
