Solstafir is an Icelandic Metal legend and this weekend they will play the equally legendary Andkristni Festival in Reykjavik!

These days Sólstafir are mostly known for their vast psychedelic soundscapes and emotive live performances. But if you were a teenager in Iceland in the early 2000's you would have known them for their furious 'Til Valhallar' EP or their experimental debut 'Í blóði og anda' while listening to their 2004 promo on your walkman CD player while anxiously awaiting the release of the phenomenal 'Masterpiece of Bitterness.'

For the Andkristni Festival - and to celebrate the bands 25th anniversary - Solstafir will bring a very special set! In this video Aðalbjörn Addi Tryggvason shares details on what fans should expect!

The members of Sólstafir organized the first editions of the Andkristni festival back in 2000 in protest to the state sponsored "Christian festival" arrogantly organized and paid for with tax payer money. It is with utmost gratitude that we welcome them back as the headliner for the 20th anniversary of the festival which has been a staple of Icelandic metal culture since it's inception.
