Matera, Italy! Should you visit?

Hey everyone, check out our short video on Matera! We give a couple reasons on why you should visit the city and some scenery that we think will help persuade you! We visited Matera while driving through the Puglia region of Italy. We flew into Bari first and then drove our rental car over to Matera which was a little more than an hour drive. The Drive was easy and for the most part all highway. The parking on the other hand is a little more difficult. Depending on where you stay in Matera they might have Parking available or they might charge an overnight fee, so keep that in mind. There is no shortage of places to see, eat, drink or to just sit and have a coffee and get lost down a side street. We recommend bringing some good walking shoes as the city is hilly and there will be a lot of up and down. You will appreciate good shoes if you decide to do the hike as well. The hike I would say depending on your fitness level is around four hours of gradual switch backs and a fun suspension bridge. This is including time to stop and take photos, water breaks, looking into the caves and a long rest at the top. Enjoy the video and please like and subscribe!
