Ingredients:
1. 1 8oz package of cream cheese
2. 1.5 cups of salted butter
3. 3 cups of sugar
4. 6 eggs
5. 3 cups of sifted cake flour or all purpose flour
6. Lemon extract-pour a dash in
7. Zest of half a lemon
8. 1 3/4 cup or confectioners sugar
9. 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice

Preheat your oven to 325. Cream together cream cheese, butter and sugar until well incorporated. Add eggs 2 at a time until well mixed. Slowly add all the flour and mix until well incorporated. Add in lemon extract and fold in lemon zest. Place batter into cake pan and bake for 1 hr and 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Everyone’s oven cooks differently.

While the cake is baking, make your delicious icing.
In a measuring cup or a bowl, mix together your confectioners sugar, lemon zest and fresh lemon juice. Mix to your desired thick or thinness. If you want a thicker icing, just add more sugar.


Drizzle glaze over that velvety cake once cooled down, grab a fork and DEVOUR!!
