Arriving at the Magic Kingdom by monorail at Walt Disney World is a classic "rite of passage" for many visitors. Depending on where you are starting from, there are three primary ways to do this:

1. Starting from the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)

If you are driving to the park, taking a rideshare (Uber/Lyft), or coming from another Disney park by bus, you will likely be dropped off at the **Transportation and Ticket Center**. From here, you have two monorail options:

*The Express Monorail:* This is the fastest route. It travels non-stop directly between the TTC and the Magic Kingdom entrance.
*The Resort Monorail:* This line also goes to the Magic Kingdom but makes stops at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian resorts first. It is a great option if the Express line has a long queue.

2. Staying at a "Monorail Resort"

If you are staying at one of the following three hotels, you can board the monorail directly from your resort:

*Disney’s Contemporary Resort:* The monorail actually travels through the center of the hotel. It is only one stop away from the Magic Kingdom.
*Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort:* Located on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House.
*Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa:* Located on the second floor of the main building.

3. Arriving from EPCOT

If you are "park hopping" from EPCOT to the Magic Kingdom:

Take the *EPCOT Monorail* from the front of the park to the **Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)**.
Once you arrive at the TTC, you must exit that train and transfer to either the *Express* or *Resort* monorail lines mentioned above to reach the Magic Kingdom.

Important Tips for Arriving

*Security Check:* You will pass through security screening before boarding the monorail at the TTC or the resorts. This means when you get off at the Magic Kingdom, you can head straight to the touchpoints to enter the park.
*Operating Hours:* Monorails typically begin running *30 minutes prior* to the start of Early Entry (which is usually an hour before the regular park opening) and stop one hour after the park closes.
*Accessibility:* All monorail stations are accessible via ramps or elevators, and the trains are level with the platform for easy boarding with strollers or wheelchairs.
*Alternative Option:* If the monorail lines are very long at the TTC, the *Ferryboat* is often a faster (and very scenic) way to cross the Seven Seas Lagoon to the park entrance.
