In Pakistan that's exactly what we discovered I was supervising a team for a maternal health care clinic in very remote Pakistan And my job was to assess are the psychologists being the most impactful in the system And the natural assumption is that the psychologist should be with the woman And long story short what we discovered actually it was to really upskill the nurses who are really doing a beautiful job of holding space providing just a witnessing to the woman And where we could make our best impact was in working with the mother-in-laws and the husbands that were in the waiting rooms educating them about how to support women or their wives or their daughters-in-laws going through pregnancy going through early the first year of having a child and we saw we started to see a shift in the well-being of the women as a result.
