Описание к видео Why This Combat Marine Turned Against the Vietnam War

After attending several years of college at the University of Oregon, Howard Boyte entered the Marine Corp in 1968 and deployed to Vietnam as a 0341 mortarman. While leading an advance with E 2/5, Boyte was injured by an NVA booby trap and evacuated. He would recover, rejoin the company and spend the following 13 months in-country. Upon returning to Oregon, he attended Portland State University receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in History, before entering into a 26 year career with Portland Fire and Rescue.
