How does the egg get magically sucked inside the bottle? Well, the magic is actually air pressure! When the egg is sitting on top of the bottle, the air pressure inside is the same as the air pressure outside, so nothing happens.

But when you drop a burning paper through the neck of the bottle, it causes the air inside to heat up and expand quickly. This expanding air will push the egg aside and escape from the bottle.

When the fire uses up all the oxygen inside the bottle, the flame goes out and the remaining air in the bottle will cool down. Cool air takes up less space, and it means the pressure inside the bottle is now lower.

This means our air is an unbalanced force and the force of the air pushing on the egg from outside the bottle will be greater than the force of the air pushing up on it from inside the bottle. Therefore, the egg will be pushed into the bottle!
