Dimapur is a city in Nagaland, India. It is the most populous city of Nagaland and also the most densely populated city in the state. The city is the main gateway and commercial centre of Nagaland. Located near the border with Assam along the banks of the Dhansiri River, Dimapur is the only plains tract of hilly Nagaland and also has the only railway station and airport in the state for connectivity and economic activity.

Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Karbi Anglong district, Assam, India and 25 km from Golaghat. It is one of the oldest sanctuaries containing hot water spring and waterfalls and surrounded by Nambor Sanctuary having 51 rare species of orchid. The nearest Airport Dimapur is 55 km and Jorhat Airport is 85 km away. The road distances from nearest Towns : from Golaghat is 35 km, from Diphu is 92 km, from Guwahati is 330 km and Kaziranga is 45 km away. The best time to visit is November to April.
