The Queen Bee is a somewhat uncommon boss (at least less common than the prolific Giant Frogs) in The Jungle area. Interestingly, the presence of a Queen Bee is not signaled by a Level Feeling (unlike many other bosses which are either guaranteed or at least highly likely to show up in certain special levels), but the distinct honeycomb background and terrain of the hive (as well as a few Killer Bees that've escaped into the main jungle) is a telltale sign that you've got a Queen and a wealth of underlings somewhere in the level.

This boss is somewhat tricky due to its much faster speed (when compared to bosses like the Giant Spider and Giant Frog) and the many quick Killer Bees that surround it, but it looks more threatening then it is. Killer Bees, though fast, are weak and can easily be taken care of with a few whip snaps and jumps if you're careful. Furthermore, the Queen's huge weakness is her size. If you haven't destroyed too much of the surrounding terrain, you can get her trapped in a bottleneck and attack her without fear of retaliation. It's well worth it too, as the Queen Bee always drops Royal Jelly, an item worth four hit points.
