Comedy of Manners, also known as Restoration Comedy or Class Comedy, came out as a sort of reaction to puritans. The beginning of this literary movement was marked by the publication of George Etherege, "Love in Tub" in 1664. After that, came other playwrights like George Etherege, William Wycherley, William Congreve, Oliver Goldsmith, and Richard Brinsley Sheridan.
