Описание к видео Greek handwritten uppercase — basics & alternates

In this video I show every Greek uppercase letterform I encountered during my stay in Greece and my research afterwards back at home.

Since it's hard to find online any alphabet that's not in a table, here's one:
αβγδεζηθικλμνξοπρσ(ς)τυφχψω
ΑΒΓΔΕΖΗΘΙΚΛΜΝΞΟΠΡΣΤΥΦΧΨΩ

As you can see, some of the alternates actually have separate Unicode codepoints (ϐ ϵ ϑ ϰ ϖ ϱ ϕ ϴ ϒ):
Α α alpha
Β β ϐ beta
Γ γ gamma
Δ δ delta
Ε ε ϵ epsilon
Ζ ζ zeta
Η η eta
Θ ϴ θ ϑ theta
Ι ι iota
Κ κ ϰ kappa
Λ λ lambda
Μ μ mu
Ν ν nu
Ξ ξ xi
Ο ο omicron
Π π ϖ pi
Ρ ρ ϱ rho
Σ σ ς sigma
Τ τ tau
Υ ϒ υ upsilon
Φ φ ϕ phi
Χ χ chi
Ψ ψ psi
Ω ω omega
Still, using them to stylize text is not usually a good idea. OpenType fonts utilize the alternates in a more efficient way by substituting glyphs with no codepoint that are seen in searches as the original codepoint and switch back to the original too if you change the font. If you have MS Office, try toying with the font Gabriola (go to Font and look for Stylistic Sets - ss01 includes the alternate beta ϐ and phi ϕ, stylistic alternates swaps theta ϑ for θ, and alternative rho ϱ is also somewhere, though I don't know how to reach it in Word). Another OpenType savvy font is Cambria.
