Amtrak Coast Starlight at San Luis Obispo California - northbound and southbound 9/6/23

Amtrak's Coast Starlight coming into and out of the train station at San Luis Obispo, California. San Luis Obispo is a quaint university town about 10 miles inland from California central coast. It is close to Morro Bay, Big Sur, Hearst Castle, and other area attractions including Pismo Beach, doc. It's a great place to explore for a few days, including checking out some cool trains at the station! Enjoy.

Amtrak's Coast Starlight is a daily train between Seattle, Washington and Los Angeles, California. As the video shows, both the northbound and southbound train run through San Luis Obispo around the same time of day. The full trip takes about 34-35 hours. I went up to SLO for a couple of days on Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner to enjoy the city and get in some much needed train time. I figured I should have more real world experience as a passenger if I'm going to make a bunch of videos about passenger trains, including the high speed rail kind.
