In this video, Dr. David Velkoff, co-founder and Medical Director of the Drake Institute of Neurophysical Medicine explains how to tell if attention deficit symptoms are more likely coming from untreated ADHD or anxiety (or possibly both). Indeed, ADHD and anxiety both cause attentional problems and poor focusing, so successful treatment first requires identifying which disorder is the priority for improving symptoms.

To treat these disorders, the Drake Institute uses brain map-guided neurofeedback. In our experience, we’ve found brain map-guided neurofeedback to be the most clinically successful treatment for helping improve and/or resolve ADHD and anxiety symptoms. Furthermore, this treatment is non-invasive and doesn’t have the unwanted side effects that medications can cause.

With the help of brain map-guided neurofeedback, we can identify which areas of the brain are experiencing dysregulation linked to symptoms and create custom-tailored treatment protocols on a patient-by-patient basis to improve the specific dysregulation causing the inattention problems.
