From TrekWorks

This is the final video of the Atomic City Models Klingon D-7 Battle Cruiser Build.

The model is now completed and mounted on the kit supplied display base.
After finishing with the base colors, two coats of acrylic gloss clear were sprayed on and wet sanded with 1500 paper after drying.
Next the window and marker decals were put on. After that I used the included paint templates and airbrushed the insignia's and Klingon lettering on.
I sanded those smooth with 1500 wet again just a bit and clear coated the model with gloss once more. I prefer to use the gloss as it fills and smooths the edges of decals better than the Dullcoat.
After drying one more light sand wet with 1500 and the Dullcoat of clear was applied to bring the shine down.

This is a very good kit with really nice detail. It's a nice scale and builds out to display very well. This build is all about filling seams and pits, and sanding, sanding sanding some more.
It's a large model and I recommend you assemble this a a front and rear half for easier handling when sanding and painting.

Products used included Evercoat two part Plastic filler, 3M red spot putty and lots of high build primer. I used the thick Gel type CA glue to assemble the resin parts.
The model was painted with Spies Hecker base coat and Dupont High Gloss Clear.
I top coat with Testors Dulcoat clear.
