West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee led a massive 3.8 km footmarch in Kolkata to protest the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision of the voter list. The rally began at Red Road and concluded at Jorashanko Thakur Bari. Taking aim at the BJP, Banerjee said speaking Bengali “does not mean Bangladeshi,” warning against attempts to disenfranchise unorganised sector workers.
