In this episode, we talk about why you might like to dye some of your own fibers, fabrics. locks, roving, etc.

We go over basic tools and set up for safely dyeing at home.

During the broadcast, we dye with natural food coloring, Jacquard acid dyes using both a "hand paint" approach and sprinkle dye method.

We talk about different heat sources for dyeing such as solar dyeing, stove top dyeing, low immersion kettle dyeing and using your microwave to dye.

We dyed a lovely blue Margilan silk fabric in the microwave in minutes which will be great for nuno felting!
