Installing a maglock? It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Our latest Tool Box Talk video details the three mounting options for a magnetic lock.

➡ Outward opening door,
This is the most common configuration, but it is not always that easy…

➡ Outward opening door with an ‘L’ bracket.
The ‘L’ bracket accommodates a narrower head of the frame, off-setting the maglock away from the face of the door.

➡ Inward opening door with ‘Z&L’ brackets.
The maglock body is fitted to the head of the frame with the “L” bracket and the armature plate to the door with the “Z” brackets.

Brackets are specific to brands and models of maglock so ensure you select the right one whether you have:
👉 External gate maglocks
👉 Double fire-rated maglocks
👉 Single mini maglocks for internal use
