25 Minutes of Aviation Spotting; RNLAF DHC Special

Описание к видео 25 Minutes of Aviation Spotting; RNLAF DHC Special

This video is a DHC Special and contains images of the Defense Helicopter Command (DHC) helicopters of the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) from Gilze-Rijen Air Base made in 2020. This video contains more than 25 minutes of aviation spotting on and around the air base and is therefore a great opportunity to look back at the beginning of the new year. The Gilze-Rijen helicopters train daily on and around the air base and usually fly all day long. Because I live close to Gilze-Rijen and a number of well-known landing zones, I have the opportunity to record the flight movements often. At Gilze-Rijen, the departing and landing traffic can be recorded at a number of nice places and helicopters can be recorded when training on the famous Slopes South. However, you have to be patient for the slopes, because not many helicopters come every day and people regularly go home empty-handed. In addition to Gilze-Rijen Air Base, the helicopters also practice regularly in areas such as the Oirschotse Heide, the Ederheide and the Rucphense Heide. And there are more places, but the places mentioned are the locations where I have been active myself this year. Personally, I think capturing the helicopters in the training areas is the best there is in the entire aviation world. That's why I made this special video to show what happened on the Dutch training grounds in a year's time. 2020 was a strange year due to the state of the world, and forced us to go back to the Basics of spotting. Ultimately it turned out to be a good and active year, but closer to home than planned. Still, in 2021 I will be hunting for new video's of our DHC helicopters again. With the arrival of new Chinooks, there is also a new challenge in this branch of sport.
